UK TMT Regulator, Ofcom has approved the request from Love Sport to change the Format of its North London AM service, Love Sport, following a public consultation.
A station’s ‘Format’ describes the type of programmes it is required to provide under its licence. This includes a description of the ‘character’ of the service.
As per Ofcom, under the approved changes, Love Sport, will change to an urban, music-led station for young British Asians.
The broadcaster has disclosed the station will be re-branded as ‘Asian FX’.
