The BIPT has updated its fixed telecommunications services atlas with recent data.

In addition to the usual aggregated coverage data at territorial level, a functionality has been developed in order to display coverage data per operator down to the address level.

Coverage data for national service operators who do not have a physical network themselves – and therefore use the physical network of a network operator – will also be mapped.

The BIPT publishes its comparative international price study for 2022

This study shows that Belgium has improved its position regarding the amounts to be paid to satisfy mobile needs. For this type of services, our country thus generally finds itself somewhere in the middle (i.e. neither cheap nor excessively expensive) compared with its neighbours. However, Belgium’s position regarding fixed and bundled telecom needs has changed little compared to 2021, and consumers in Belgium continue to pay considerably more than most of their neighbours as their needs for telecom services increase.
