How to handle transition in converged and digital communications will be the focus as the Communications Policy & Regulation Week  51st Annual Conference  of the International Institute of Communications(IIC) approaches D-day.

The coronavirus(COVID-19) pandemic has accelerated digital transformation and called for a new pact between public and private sectors  and this event comes handy to  throw up the optimum frameworks to protect the interests of individuals and society whilst promoting innovations and investment, offers IIC’s director-general, Lynn Robinson.

Said she: “The 51st Annual Conference promises an exceptional line-up of speakers representing regulatory authorities, civil society and industry at the highest of levels, invited to give their perspectives on the IIC’s vision of a world where ICTs and the wider digital ecosystem are a positive driver of fair progress for people, the environment, the economy and cultures.

Through a combination of live and pre-recorded sessions we will hear international experiences and solutions to help narrow the digital divide, support investment and innovation and drive relevance, awareness and digital inclusivity. We will hear about the transformational potential of the tech and creative sectors as accelerators of digital transformation for all. Regulators will give examples of collaboration and cooperation to meet the challenges of the digital world, and CEOs operating in smaller and emerging economies will share the particular challenges, and opportunities, they face.”
