Dutch jeans brand Garcia is to equip every garment in its range with a digital product passport (DPP) that shoppers will be able to use to access information about the sustainability of the product, the brand has announced.

“Starting with our Spring/Summer 2025 collection, every garment will feature a care label with a QR code, giving consumers instant access to detailed product information,” Garcia says.

“The DPP provides consumers with insights into important elements such as the origin, composition and percentage of recycled materials in products.”

“Implementing a digital product passport across our entire collection development process was a big challenge, but the Garcia team and their business partners made it possible,” says Mark Hommelberg, CEO of JOG Group, Garcia’s parent company.

“Taking this step as an industry leader is something we’re truly proud of as a company.”
