Australians living in pain now have a faster, smarter way to access relief with the launch of Back2U – the country’s first on demand mobile app connecting patients to qualified chiropractors, physiotherapists, and osteopaths who come directly to them, wherever they are.
Every year, more than 3.4 million Australians report experiencing chronic or persistent pain, according to Pain Australia. And 68 per cent are of working age, many of whom face long wait times, inflexible work schedules, clinic access issues, or proximity issues that delay or prevent timely treatment.
Back2U combines smart technology with an expert clinical workforce, to help Australians get the care they need when they need it most, and according to the company brainchild, Dr Roman Rajek, was designed to be practical and convenient: “As a clinician, I see patients delay treatment because the logistics don’t work such as time off, travel, waiting rooms. Back2U fixes that by matching patients with AHPRA-verified practitioners nearby, in minutes, with digital consent and secure records. The result is earlier intervention, fewer missed appointments and better continuity, exactly what improves outcomes for back and musculoskeletal pain.”
Back2U delivers care at home, at work, in a hotel room or wherever the patient needs it. By shifting care away from traditional, often inflexible clinic models, the app also delivers a new level of freedom for practitioners, many of whom are seeking more flexibility, autonomy, and control over their careers.
Founder of Edgecliff Chiropractic, Dr Stephen McCann, is one of the first practitioners to join the Back2U app and sees the value in the offering: “For practitioners who are just starting out or looking to expand, Back2U removes the barriers of overheads, scheduling headaches, and location limits. Designed in Australia and built in collaboration with allied health professionals, Back2U is not a clinic network or booking aggregator. It is a platform for both patients and practitioners with real-time, location-based appointment matching, digital consent and records, and seamless payment processing.
Practitioners benefit from reduced overheads, avoiding expensive clinic leases and admin costs, which can eat up to 70 per cent of private practice revenue. It is not a competitor, but a supplementary income stream.
