AFRINIC Shops For Host And Sponsors For The 2026 AFRINIC IPv6 & RPKI Events Across Countries

By Clifford Agugoesi, Editor-in-Chief
AFRINIC is looking for African organisations that will join hands with it and unleash the power of the Internet through impactful AFRINIC IPv6 & RPKI in-person events this year, Cyber Era NG learns, following a heads-up obtained by our reporter from of the Training Team.
The message reads in part: “Dear colleagues. We want to Partner with you!
We are looking for African organisations that will join hands with us and unleash the power of the Internet through impactful AFRINIC IPv6 & RPKI in-person events in 2026.”
We gather that the organizations can partner with AFRINIC either by:
- Hosting an RPKI & IPv6 Deployathon.
- Hosting an IPv6 Training & Certification event.
- Sponsoring AFRINIC IPv6 & RPKI in-person events
Over the past 20 years, AFRINIC has worked with 40+ organizations across Africa to build skills, deploy technologies, and drive continental progress and are looking for willing organisations to come on board.
Government organisations are not excluded.
Government organisations stand to make the most from hosting special AFRINIC Government IPv6 Kickstart event, in which AFRININC operatives:
*Train & certify government IPv6 Engineers
*Train & certify IPv6 government Programme Managers
*Create & refine an IPv6 Action Plan for the government.
This event prepares the government organisation to host future deployathons, transforming those IPv6 deployment plans into actual IPv6 deployment milestones.
Said AFRINIC: “Ready to make an impact? Host us? Learn more and apply to host an event in your country in 2026 – https://afrinic.academy/call-for-local-hosts/ Application Deadline is February 27, 2026 at 23:59 GMT.”
- Editor’s Note: Kindly partner with it to elevate Africa’s digital future.
