AIRCO has announced a new manufacturing and integration facility in New Britain, Pennsylvania, that will serve as AIRCO’s primary hub for research and development (R&D), engineering, operations, and manufacturing. The facility will house the production of our modular synthetic fuel production systems: the MAD Fuel System™.

AIRCO’s  containerized MAD units produce jet fuel and ground-vehicle fuel from extracted carbon dioxide (CO₂), eliminating the need for traditional fuel transport and supply chains. Backed by a recent STRATFI award from AFWERX and the US Air Force, these systems are designed to operate with increasing autonomy and minimal on-site personnel needed over time.

The opening of the Pennsylvania facility marks a major step in our mission to decentralize fuel production and produce fuel on-site where it’s needed most.

“This manufacturing facility extends our footprint so that we can better support our partners in both the government and private sector,” says Vice President of Operations at AIRCO Scott Reece,.
