The International Institute of Communications(IIC) has announced that the Future Leaders Competition has entered the sixth year.  This is according to a heads-up  we obtained from Marketing & Membership Engagement Manager at IIC, Emily Garbett.

The  Future Leaders’ competition provides international exposure to ambitious young professionals (aged 35 and under).

According to Ms. Garbett:  “A fantastic opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge and skill as you build your career. With so much talent in our sector we hope to encourage submissions from across the digital ecosystem.

This year we are asking young professionals to produce an essay on the following topic: “Cybersecurity on the Edge?”

“In this essay, you should consider how breaches in cybersecurity might be mitigated, with a particular emphasis on privacy. We want you to consider the challenges to security and privacy as technology develops and transforms, and we’re interested in your views on where responsibility lies for managing these challenges.”

Both Chair of the Judging Panel, Co-Director, Centre for Media Transition, University of Technology, Sydney, Dr.  Derek Wilding and Vice Chair, Principal, Millwood Hargrave Ltd, Andrea Millwood Hargrave are back and the organizers look forward to releasing identities of the competition judges.

“To support the future leaders in your organisation – or anyone else you think might be interested – we would be grateful if you can please help spread the word by sharing this poster within your organisation and network to promote the competition,” invites Garbett.

Inquiries on the competition are to be directed  to: e.garbett@iicom.org or directly on the IIC website: www.iicom
