Palau National Communications Corporation (PNCC) has invited the Palau Governors’ Association to an information session on April 10 to present updates on its major infrastructure projects, which will significantly improve connectivity for all Palauans in all states, Cyber Era NG learns.

We understand that PNCC’s fiber network will deliver speed and reliability to every home, business and government office in Palau, unlocking the full potential of Palau’s International Submarine Fiber. All services (Internet, Voice, TV) will be served over the same fiber network. Construction is set to begin this summer and fiber service is estimated to start going live about 9 months after the start of construction in each state.

PNCC’s Mobile Network Modernization project is being built for every Palauan in all 16 states. The new mobile system is designed for Palau’s digital future with 5G Stand Alone technology (real 5G), delivering very high data speeds and capacity for things like HD/4K streaming, video calls, and fast mobile internet.
Palau’s leading provider of telecommunications services is doubling the number of cell sites for the new network and eliminating coverage dead spots in all States to provide uninterrupted service and improved public safety. It is increasing cell site capacity for seamless data and calling, and adding a cell broadcast system to deliver immediate public alerts for disaster warnings.

The mobile network rollout and testing phase is currently in progress for a full live launch in the first part of 2027.
