194views

firsNicaragua’s telecoms regulator Telcor started planning for a 5G roadmap.

The t measure has to do with the reservation of the 3,300-3,400MHz and 3,600-3,700MHz frequencies for 5G.

The 3.5GHz portion is one of the most used frequencies in Latin America for 5G. Chile, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Guatemala are using the band, with Colombia and Argentina also planning to use it.

The resolution published in Nicaragua’s official gazette indicates that current spectrum holders may continue to use it, while Telcor finalizes the reorganization process.

Meanwhile, new authorizations, assignments and modifications are prohibited, except for fixed satellite services https://www.bnamericas.com
