Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. has announced the continued momentum of the Qualcomm® Smart Cities Accelerator Programme at its second annual Qualcomm Smart Cities Accelerate 2020 event. This year’s digital event brings together Qualcomm Smart Cities Accelerator Programme ecosystem members, technology executives, and Internet of Things (IoT) thought leaders and practitioners from around the world. Since the April 2019 launch of the Qualcomm Smart Cities Accelerator Programme, the ecosystem has brought together over 300 members, received an initial US$75 million in capital for investment in projects developed in collaboration with ecosystem partner JLC Infrastructure, and shifted toward a new vision, prioritizing the enablement of IoT-as-a-Service (IoTaaS) through the Qualcomm® IoT Services Suite.
