TMT sector regulator in the UK, Ofcom today announced the reappointment of Iain Stephen Morrison to the board of MG ALBA, the body responsible for ensuring that high-quality television programmes in Gaelic are made available to people in Scotland, gathers Cyber Era Online (www.cyberera.com.ng).
Ofcom’s recommendation for the reappointment has been okayed by Scotland’s Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Education and Skills, John Swinney MSP. This follows an appraisal process led by the chair of MG ALBA Allan Macdonald and a reappointment interview with Ofcom.
Iain Stephen is currently the vice-chair of MG ALBA standards committee and will continue as the Bòrd na Gàidhlig nominee on the board. His second term begins today 10 August 2019 and will run for four years.
